Architects and engineers are invited to this half-day seminar on the design of fire-safe timber buildings. Prof. Jose Torero will outline the fundamental principles of fire behaviour in mass timber buildings and dispel some of the myths surrounding the use of timber in structural design.

The latter half of the seminar will focus on the key performance objectives for the design process, and detail the development of a bespoke fire safety strategy. In addition, Prof. Torero will outline some of the tools and methods available to you as a designer or construction manager.

This CPD seminar will assist Principal Designers to discharge their duties to both the Fire Safety Act (2022) and ARB Competence Guidelines.

This CPD is suitable for architects, building designers, engineers and contractors who are responsible for ensuring fire safety in their projects. We encourage you to register now, as places are limited.
