Today, the construction industry accounts for ~40% of global CO2. An eyewatering amount of this comes from upstream production of building materials, with steel and concrete being the worst offenders.

As more real estate developers take into account full lifecycle emissions, the scale of embodied carbon in building materials is becoming better understood, and thereby a bigger priority for sustainability and impact management. Bio-based materials can be a solution.

What are the bottlenecks and opportunities of using greener alternatives?

Join us at the Triodos Bank office in Zeist, one of the most sustainable building in Europe for an evening of learning, engagement, and lively debates. Experts from Triodos, Built by Nature, Metabolic, PGGM and more dive into these questions and host an interactive panel discussion to explore further. Program followed by networking drinks.
