Resuscitation of vernacular architecture techniques in residential buildings in the new cities of Egypt

The energy problem, pollution and lack of resources that results from the use of synthetic construction materials along with the rising of transportation fuels are the factors to head to the traditional type of architecture that has no negative impact on the environment as vernacular architecture. Moreover, the vernacular architecture term has recently become popular in the construction market all over
the world. Despite the importance of this architectural type, these ideas and technology is not the same level in Egypt. Subsequently, researchers are seeking to fill this shortage by boosting several types of recommendations, methodologies and guidelines.
