Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in construction management, project management sustainability, or Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) consulting.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications in LEED AP, WELL AP, BREEAM Assessor, or similar sustainability credentials.
  • Understanding of sustainability principles, green building standards (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, WELL, etc.), and sustainable materials.
  • Understanding of HVAC and other mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with life cycle assessment (LCA) and embodied carbon analysis.
  • Ability to drive a Global Program that drives actionable roadmaps and plans to achieve business goals.

As a part of the Global Operations team in Workplace Design and Delivery, you will help transform our built environments to meet Google’s Electrification and Sustainability goals.

The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive key cross-functional partnerships and stakeholder relationships, in the development of our roadmap. Ensure that the local markets are aligned with the broader Google direction.
  • Oversee the Technical Feasibility Studies that will be performed at each asset globally to understand the implications of electrifying the portfolio while working to prioritize the plan to maximize value and find savings. Oversee the annual budgeting process and month over month spend as Google continues investments into the portfolio while being able to show the proper Return on Investment via Carbon Accounting.
  • Manage interdependencies between multiple sustainability goals outside of de-carbonization and electrification while looking for opportunities to align and find value through such efficiencies.
  • Operate a governance/alignment model for the Sustainability electrification goals.
