The position

The Sustainability Communications Lead role will be responsible for the implementation of the Global Sustainability Communcations strategy, through strong internal and external campagins, partnership communication, as well as drive Novo Nordisk participation at key global conferences. All with the aim to build awarness ans strengthen Novo Nordisk position as a responsible company and a leader in sustainability.

We have two job openings available; one is a permanent position while the other is a 12-month temporary position.

Some of your responsibilities will be to:

  • Drive the development of both internal and external campaigns and communication assets, including defining the strategy, campaign plan, creative content, , thought leadership pieces, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with the Global Media Team on media requests.
  • Support the CVP and key sustainability leaders in their internal and external communication.
  • Develop innovative communication initiatives and ensure close collaboration with stakeholders within the organization, especially the Global Communication team and other sustainability communicators globally, but also externally with agencies and partners.
  • Use audience insights to identify relevant channels and implement paid media strategies.
  • Drive Novo Nordisk participation at global conferences and events such as Climate Week, UNGA, and COP. This including events on site, media, as well as internal and external communication.

Qualifications

 

  • A relevant degree in Communications, Marketing, Social Science or Public Affairs.
  • 3+ years of experience in planning and executing external communications strategies in a similar role. Experience of working in a corporate setting is preferred.
  • Experience in content creation, social media, media relations, and use of analytical tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess media and communication tactical impact, return on investment and make recommendations for change.
  • Support and prepare senior management on leadership communications, issues and crisis management.

As a person, you are a great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to develop and maintain internal and external networks. As well, you are proactive, result-oriented, and able to manage complex projects knowing how to prioritize them.

Moreover, you have outstanding communication skills in written and spoken English, strong stakeholder management skills, and a genuine interest in sustainability.

 

About the Department

​​​​​The Global Sustainability Communications team is a part of the ESG Strategy & Intelligence department driving a broad range of sustainability areas across sustainability reporting regulation, management reporting, data and insights, external trends and intelligence, and cross-functional projects while also facilitating collaboration with the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Novo Nordisk Sustainability Advisory Council. The ESG Strategy & Intelligence team is part of Global Public Affairs & Sustainability within the EVP area Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs.

You will be part of a team of 10 people in the ESG Strategy & Intelligence team,  and reporting to the Sustainability Communication Director.
