The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Sustainability Consultant who is passionate about helping businesses reduce their environmental impact. As part of a growing team, you will deliver high-quality support and guidance to companies of all sizes as they work toward achieving net zero. You will engage with businesses in services and projects that will help them succeed in their greenhouse gas reduction strategies. What is the job about?

As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, you will provide high-quality information and actionable advice to companies seeking to achieve net zero carbon emissions from their operations. You will use your deep understanding of carbon audits, climate risk assessments, and environmental policies as part of a holistic package of sustainability advisory.

We will provide you with the support and tools you will need to deliver transformative change to our customers and help them develop sustainable strategies and practices.

What exactly will you do?

  • Offer expertise, guidance, and support to businesses working towards net zero carbon emissions.
  • Advocate about the risks created by climate change and the need for action to our customers.
  • Evaluate and report on the environmental impact of our customer’s business activities.
  • Pitch environmental consultancy services and energy management technology.
  • Engage with internal teams for product and service development
  • Manage sustainability consultancy projects.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years working on corporate sustainability projects
  • Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, law, or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in project management and consultancy service development
  • Able to communicate confidently about complex environmental issues directly to clients
  • High standard of written and spoken English
  • Innovative mindset in developing carbon reduction strategies
  • Keen interest in issues of carbon offsetting, emissions, and reduction

Bonus points

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or engineering, sustainability, or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree (or higher) in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, law, or an equivalent
  • Prior familiarity with UK, EU, and international environmental regulations and reporting frameworks (e.g., SECR, ESOS, ESRS, and TCFD)
  • Proficiency in multiple languages.
  • Experience with carbon emissions accounting and carbon foot printing
  • Understanding or experience of energy audits
  • Understanding or experience of energy markets and infrastructure
  • Voluntary involvement in environmental projects, clean-ups, activism, etc.
