We are looking for a new colleague to drive best in class Responsible Sourcing Programme ensuring our commitment to the Triple Bottom Line through which we strive to conduct our business in an economically, socially, and environmentally responsible way.

The position

As Responsible Sourcing Project Manager, you will join a team of 8 employees responsible for Novo Nordisk’s ESG agenda towards our global suppliers. You will help drive and develop Novo Nordisk’s Responsible Sourcing Programme to ensure we uphold our commitment to the UN Guiding Principles and comply with upcoming policies.  A key focus area will be on embedding requirements from the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) into all our sustainable sourcing activities.

We are looking for an experienced project manager, who has a strong understanding of working with Responsible Sourcing Standards in global supply chains and is knowledgeable about underlying policies particularly CSDDD, HREDD or similar. It is preferred that you have experience from an international brand, and/or management consulting.

Daily, our new team member will be responsible for:

  • Develop and implement the sourcing programme and corresponding processes, aligning with the company’s values, business objectives and upcoming legislative requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that responsible sourcing initiatives are integrated into our overall business operations
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices and incorporate them into our programme
  • Drive change management throughout the organization to secure compliance for example through capability building programs
  • Execute key initiatives for example by conducting risk assessments and due diligence to identify and mitigate potential risks and impacts associated with our supply chain activities

Qualifications

We’re seeking candidates who fulfill the following prerequisites:

  • A MSc degree (e.g. in sustainability, environmental mgmt., engineering, supply chain management, business management or similar)
  • At least 3 years of experience in responsible sourcing and compliance (must have!)
  • Possess a knowledge of international labour standards, CSDDD, human rights issues and sustainability best practices
  • Have strong project management skills, including the ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage complex projects from start to finish
  • Are a strong communicator and collaborator with a can-do approach, fluent in both oral and written English

As a professional, you have excellent interpersonal skills, a flair for stakeholder interactions and for motivating others, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and external stakeholders and Pragmatic and results-oriented skills good at keeping focus and executing to meet the targets.

In Corporate Procurement we are 150 employees in Denmark and India, and globally more than 400 people work in procurement throughout the organisation responsible for approx. 75% of Novo Nordisk’s spend and for setting the strategic direction. Corporate Procurement is Novo Nordisk’s centre of excellence for category strategies, digital procurement and purchasing processes, where we work to ensure that the ESG agenda becomes an integrated part of working with our suppliers.
