View infoWith the surging world population, demand for infrastructure has increased. Buildings generate almost 40% of the
annual global carbon dioxide emissions, where 28% of the contribution is made by building operations while
building materials (embodied carbon) account for the remaining 11% annually. Thus, the need to quantify the global
warming potential of buildings, through life cycle assessment, taking into account both the processes and materials,
to promote the use of more sustainable construction materials and processes is timely. Building – SAT, a whole
building life cycle assessment tool developed by the resource persons especially for the Sri Lankan building sector,
that can be utilized at any stage of the construction of buildings; existing structures, new construction and
refurbishment will be introduced. Free registration and certificate upon completion
