In the lead-up to COP26, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers is organising a two-day conference to highlight the central role of engineering in delivering a net-zero future.

The UK’s hosting of COP26, this November, has been highlighted as one of the final opportunities for international coordination and collaboration to achieve the goal of preventing dangerous levels of global warming. Importantly, limiting the average temperature increase to below 2°C.

The conference will focus on practical engineering solutions to achieve net-zero emissions and consider the wider implications for industry and society.
