Did you know that building and construction is the second highest-consuming sector of plastics, behind packaging?

As sustainability leaders around the world head to UN Global Plastic Treaty negotiations in Busan this November, it is critical for people concerned about plastic pollution to understand key contributors to the plastics crisis and the most impactful levers for change.

In this webinar, experts in chemistry, policy, the built environment, and environmental justice will present two new pieces of groundbreaking research that address building and construction’s role in global plastic pollution–and what we can do to take action.

Presenters include:

  • Teresa McGrath, Chief Research Officer | Habitable
  • Dr. Zoie T. Diana, Liber Ero Postdoctoral Fellow | University of Toronto
  • Dr. Veena Singla, Adjunct Assistant Professor and Associate Director with Agents of Change in Environmental Justice Program | Columbia University
  • Kimberly Seigel, Research Manager, Senior Associate | Perkins&Will
