Pat Barry is Chief Executive Officer of the Irish Green Building Council which he co-founded in 2010. He is an Architect with over 20 years of experience in Ireland, Europe and South America, a Masters in Environmental design of buildings from University of Cardiff and is a qualified Passive House and DGNB consultant.

 

Pat Barry joins the show from Dublin to talk about his work as the co-founder of the Irish Green Building Council (IGBC). We discuss different issues from his professional experience in Ireland, the work the IGBC does, including decarbonisation and circularity roadmaps, life cycle assessments, and the importance of standardising metrics and methodologies in the construction industry.
